The Colorado River - Ruby and Horsethief Canyons   

Looking upstream from the Black Rocks area, where we were fortunate enough to get a great campsite with plenty of soft sand and an easy landing for the kayak and canoe. This was a relatively low water year -- the gravel bar in the center-left of the photo would normally be under five feet of water in early July.   July 1989.
