The Colorado River - Ruby and Horsethief Canyons   

Sunset, looking downstream from the Black Rocks area. The passage at the bottom of the photo is only about 16 feet wide -- even at high flows, however, the entire Colorado is forced through this narrow channel, and it can produce some very interesting hydrologic effects.  July 1989.
