The Green River (Desolation /Gray Canyons)

Late afternoon camp at Fretwater Falls. Powell stayed here on both expeditions, and we usually try to make this site on every trip we do. The landing is great, the sand is soft and there's always plenty of wood when we want to have a fire, a rarity at most of the other good camping spots in Desolation Canyon. Karin's favorite place in the known universe. October 1998
