Mount Belford lies in the Sawatch Range of central Colorado, nearby other 14,000' giants like Mt Harvard and Mount Columbia. The climb included a fairly steep, switchbacked trail through the woods, opening quite suddenly into a beautiful valley at the mountain's foot.
